The year is 2006, the majority of my friends and I turned 18. At the time we thought we were in the big leagues. We could now hit the club and get it poppin like the “grown folks” we thought we were. Me being the type of person I am I did some critical thinking about this new chapter in my life. I understood I was going to be in the mix with an older crowd and I needed to dress accordingly, enter boat shoes. Although this footwear silhouette has been around for decades, boat/deck shoes came into my life the summer of 2006. Sperry and Sebago are to of the better known brands in the boat shoe “world” but just about every brand has their variation of the shoe. I personally love boat shoes, there comfortable, versatile, and functional go on a boat with these on to see what I mean. I snapped some flicks of my humble collection the other night since I was doing some shoe cleaning anyway. I hope to add some more designer pairs in the near future I would kill for the black leather and nylon Gucci’s. PLEASE OH PLEASE! consider purchasing some boat shoes for your next trip to the club you can find them at your local department store for a great price. They look great with jeans and a polo for those of you who don’t like to do much to get dressed for the club. Do not be the guy that rocks his dads church shoes : DAD’S CHURCH SHOES
